Over the last month, the Office 365 team announced the expansion of Customer Lockbox to new workloads and new features coming to Office 365, such as capabilities that improve security management and reduce eDiscovery costs.

Customer Lockbox rolling out to SharePoint Online and OneDrive for Business—In December of 2015, Microsoft announced general availability of Customer Lockbox for Exchange Online, bringing customers into the multi-level approval workflow to grant access to customer content. Today, we are pleased to announce that Customer Lockbox is rolling out to SharePoint Online and OneDrive for Business. By extending Customer Lockbox to additional Office 365 services, we’re providing customers new approval rights, greater transparency and enhanced control over their data in Office 365.
New security management capabilities coming to Office 365—In early March 2016, Bret Arsenault, chief information security officer for Microsoft, announced Microsoft Cloud App Security, a comprehensive cloud access security broker (CASB) solution, based on Microsoft’s acquisition of cloud security innovator Adallom. It will also power new advanced security management capabilities for Office 365 that will improve IT visibility and control.
Office 365 third-party archiving now available—Archiving third-party data in Office 365 extends the rich archiving capabilities we already provide for email, documents in SharePoint and OneDrive for Business and Skype for Business meetings and conversations.
Reduce eDiscovery costs and challenges with Office 365 Advanced eDiscovery—Office 365 Advanced eDiscovery further strengthens the rich set of eDiscovery capabilities already present in Office 365 to help you quickly investigate and meet legal obligations. Office 365 Advanced eDiscovery integrates Equivio machine learning, predictive coding and text analytics capabilities to reduce the costs and challenges that come along with sorting through large quantities of data for eDiscovery purposes.
