+ Downloading https://localhost/ecp/15.0.1178.4/exporttool/EXC002.LOCAL/microsoft.exchange.ediscovery.exporttool.application?name=KIngson1&ews=https://localhost/ews/Exchange.asmx did not succeed.
+ The underlying connection was closed: Could not establish trust relationship for the SSL/TLS secure channel.
+ The remote certificate is invalid according to the validation procedure.

As you see here, The remote certificate is invalid because the URL used which is localhost doesn’t have certificate.

Solution:

Simple:

  1. Just click on Certificate error in browser
  2. View Certificates
  3. Issued by is the actual FQDN to be used

In my case it is EXCAS01, So I changed the URL from https://localhost/ecp to https://EXCAS01/ecp

Now you can download PST without any issues.
